Applications can still be submitted for the 2012 Leadership Development Program. This four-week program is designed to challenge and facilitate the development of personal skills and leadership abilities through a fun, hands-on experience amidst a supportive and encouraging community. Applicants for the Leadership Development Program should have completed grade 10 or 11 and be 16-17 years of age. Applicants should be responsible, enthusiastic, and prepared to be a role model to younger campers.

Donations continue to come in for the Camps for Kids Capital Campaign.  To date, the campaign has raised some $2.2 million for renewal projects at Camp Stephens and Camp Y. Camp Stephens on Lake of the Woods completed it’s 120th successful season in 2011, hosting nearly 1100 youth from May to September with traditional resident camp programs, wilderness canoe tripping, school outdoor education groups, family camp and leadership training.
