Parent & Student Information

At Camp Stephens we endeavour to make the quality of each individual’s camp experience our top priority. Providing a safe environment for campers is an integral part of this goal. Our accredited programs follow standards established by the Manitoba Camping Association and YMCA Canada.

Once in Kenora your child will take a 10 minute boat ride to camp. It is a good idea to ensure your child has warm clothing and/or a rain jacket for this ride can be fairly chilly.

While at Camp Stephens your child will stay with some of their classmates in a cabin with their own qualified counsellor. Cabins sleep up to 10 guests, bunk-bed style, in one large open room.

The staff at Camp Stephens are hired for their love of working with children, and are committed to the well-being of your child and the values of the YMCA-YWCA. Staff support and challenge your child in a variety of activities aimed to help your child grow and gain success.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s care. You have our commitment to do our very best as we try to build a better world, one child at a time.

Whether you are coming to try out our high ropes course, sailing, kayaking or participating in our Wilderness Canoe Trip, our Camp Program has been designed to give you and your classmates the best trip ever.

Our staff works hard to provide you with a fun and challenging experience at camp. It doesn’t matter if you’re not an expert because our staff is here to help you learn new skills and gain success. Try something new and push yourself beyond what you think you can do. Our staff and your classmates will be there to encourage and support you. Whether you are just hanging out, playing games, or trying something new, we want your camp experience to be unforgettable.
