Overnight Island Camp is the Foundation of the Camp Stephens Experience.
Using modern equipment, each camper learns about outdoor living and gains respect for both the power and fragility of the natural world. Campers are placed in groups of eight to ten children of the same gender, led by a qualified counsellor.
At Camp Stephens we follow the core values of caring, equality, health, honesty, inclusiveness, respect and responsibility as we carry out our mission to build better people.

One Week Camp (8 – 12 years)
This one week resident program promises to be a fun filled, condensed version of our traditional two week camp. This program caters to the first time Stephens’ camper who may be nervous about spending time away from home. This week program is built to ensure that campers are able to sample each of our program areas.
Two Week Camp
Juniors (8 – 9 years) – Our youngest campers get a chance to explore their independence in what is often their first time away from home in a safe and supervised environment. All activities are run at an introductory level with a focus on fun! Campers stay in a cabin with their counsellor, participate in activities as a group and go on an overnight canoe trip.
Intermediates (10 – 12 years) – As an intermediate camper, you will get to experience the best of everything at camp. From all of the camp activities to a three day canoe trip, an intermediate camper’s days are action packed and fun filled.
Seniors (13 – 15 years) – Seniors are given the opportunity to achieve advanced levels in many of our activities. Seniors will enjoy a mix of camp fun and out-tripping excitement on their four day canoe trip. This is an opportunity for these young adults to display their independence and responsibility. Seniors will benefit from lots of social time with their peers and the chance to make new friends.
Four Week – Quatros (15 – 17 years)
This program offers participants the chance to develop their in-camp skill base. Each week brings a variety of activities for participants to choose from, developing their skills and earning badges along the way. Skill areas include sailing, swimming, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, drama, and more. Quatros participants will also participate in a six day canoe trip.
