Camp Y Opens For Full Program Operations

Over the summer children’s resident camp provided four one week long adventures for more than two hundred 6 to 12 year old boys and girls and four city branch day camps each made weekly visits for day long excursions to the rapidly developing campsite near Woodlands Manitoba. Camps for Kids Campaign a Success!

Donations continue to come in for the Camps for Kids Capital Campaign.  To date, the campaign has raised some $2.2 million for renewal projects at Camp Stephens and Camp Y.

YMCA Unveils New Camp – Camp Y Woodlands!

In March of 2010, the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg acquired the former Salvation Army Camp Woodlands. Located just 34 km north of Winnipeg, the newly renamed Camp Y is a year-round facility, catering to rental and school groups during the spring, fall and winter seasons, with plans for a diverse summer program.
